At the Nederlandse Innovatie Maatschappij (NIM), we are committed to accelerate the course towards a climate-neutral maritime sector. The Nederlandse Innovatie Maatschappij (NIM), is an organization focused on delivering sustainable innovations for the maritime sector. We play a key role in decarbonizing ships and have been assigned several projects under the Maritime Master Plan. This enables us to be a reliable partner in the transition towards climate-neutral shipping. With years of experience and technical expertise, we research and develop groundbreaking technologies that contribute to the sustainability in the sector.

At NIM, we have extensive expertise in various sustainable technologies that support the decarbonization of the maritime sector. Together with specialized engineers and researchers, we develop and test advanced solutions. We work closely with leading research institutes such as MARIN, TNO, University of Twente, Delft University of Technology, HAN University of Applied Sciences, and Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

Research Lab

NIM operates its own research laboratory in Sliedrecht, here we conduct pioneering research into sustainable technologies and innovative solutions for the maritime sector. This facility plays a crucial role in testing, developing and implementing new technologies that contribute to the decarbonization of shipping.

The research lab is used for NIM’s in-house developments in methanol and hydrogen innovations and is also available for third-party research projects and testing programs.
